Gender Inequality in China
China, over the past few decades, has had an enormous population growth rate. And luckily girls in China have been given a little more significance to why they are important too. In China girls are seen as inferior or "unwanted" because people there think that women are useless and can provide nothing for their family. Everyone wants a baby boy because boys can continue the family name producing descendants. Families in China are only allowed to have one child and basically everyone wants a boy, but when their first child turns out to be a girl they either kill it, abandon it somewhere where it is placed in a box, or keep it which is very, very rare. That is why UNICEF has been partnering with ACWF to help promote gender equality in China.

India's Movement Towards Democracy
For the longest time India was struggling for independence. They were, for a long time, ruled by the British Government, who constantly took advantage of India by taking the resources they made and keeping them for themselves. They've protested, fasted, refused business, and even risked their lives just so they could have control over their own country. Well all their hard work payed off because they are now a self-governed country which is what they were fighting so long for. Of course, every nation has their problems but India still fights on to maintain a stable living environment.

Important Leader in China
This image to the left is a picture of Mao Zedong, who was most famous for his prestigious Communist theories in China. He founded the People's Republic of China (PRC) which led to the printing of "The Little Red Book." Then after that success Mao tried to influence even more communism by trying to set forth "The Great Leap Forward," but sadly that turned out to be a huge disaster and caused China's agriculture to go into a big slump. This turned Mao from a recognized hero to a hated loser. So Mao wanted to make up for it and try to regain his power by launching the "Cultural Revolution." This attempt caused 1 1/2 million people to die as well as crushing most of their cultural heritage. But later Mao sent troops to fix the damages and finally succeeded and turned back into a hero but as he was trying to continue this "winning" streak he soon died September 9, 2009.
